One hundred and fifty-eight Oakley frames have passed through this studio, across 157 listings and forty named models. The years in those listings run from 1995 to 2010. This page lists every model we have had, how many of each and the years recorded in our listings, with a link to the model guide where we have written one. Everything here comes from our own listings, not from a catalogue we copied.

Where Oakley's own filings give a date of introduction for a model, it is added below with the filing cited. All eyewear currently for sale is in Eyewear.

Years come from the listing titles. Where a listing carried no year, it is counted but adds nothing to the range; the number of undated pieces is shown in brackets.

One listing was a pair sold together, a Minute and an Eye Jacket, which is why the frames add up to one more than the listings.

Models without their own guide

Twenty (XX)

Eight pieces, listed under both names, Twenty and XX. The four with a year all carry 2000. Frames we have had: Black or Jet Black with Black Iridium three times, Polished Rootbeer, Rootbeer with Fire Iridium, Black with G30 Iridium, Electric Blue with Black Iridium, and one with a Silver Ice Iridium lens. Our listings place it between the Minute and the Eye Jacket: a moderate lens width and a slightly flatter front curve. Oakley's 2002 filing lists this frame as Twenty-XX, introduced in March 20002; its 2000 filing describes the Twenty as an O Matter frame in the Frogskins family1. It is not the X Metal frame that Oakley lists as XX, introduced in December 19991.

Splice

Seven pieces, dated 2002 and 2003. Three were Platinum over Rootbeer with Gold Iridium, three were FMJ or FMJ+ over Crystal Black with Ice Iridium, and one was Rootbeer with Gold Iridium. The centre frame is made of several parts joined by bullet anchors; the lower section is clear, so the anchors and joints stay visible, and the upper section is in a contrasting colour or metal coating. Oakley dates the Splice to April 20022.

Zero, New Zero and Zero L

Six pieces, dated 2004 to 2006, one undated. The titles use three names: Zero, New Zero and Zero L. Colourways: Crystal Black with Black Iridium, Rootbeer with Gold Iridium, Polished Black with G30 Iridium, Black Chrome with Titanium Iridium, Black Chrome with Black Iridium, and Dark Amber with Gold Iridium. Our Zero L listing describes it as rimless: a single lens with thin stems pinned to it. Oakley dates the Zeros to late 1993, updated in May 19991.

Unknown

Three pieces, all in Polished Black, two of them dated 2004 and two with Black Iridium lenses. A polished black O Matter body with thin temple arms, closer to an everyday frame than to the sport wraps.

C Wire and E Wire

Two of each. Both belong to the family Oakley calls Wires, whose frames it describes as a lightweight alloy of five metallic compounds1. Oakley dates the E Wire to October 1993, updated as the E Wire 2.0 in May 2000, and the C Wire to April 2000, its first frame with a spring hinge1. The C Wires were dated 2005: one Silver with polarised Gold Iridium, one Dark Carbon with Black Iridium. The E Wires were a 1999 Dark with Black Iridium, with the tensioned wire temple, and an undated Black.

Fives, Fives 2.0 and XS Five

Oakley dates the Fives to April 19971. Two Fives: a Crystal Black and a 2001 Fives 2.0, the line's second generation, in Crystal Blue O Matter with a Black Iridium lens. Alongside them, one 2003 XS Five, the compact version, in translucent blue with a Black Iridium lens.

Monster Dog

Two pieces, both 2003 and both with Black Iridium lenses: one Crystal Blue, one Polished Black. A wide wrap with a single-piece Plutonite lens in an O Matter frame, size 62–19.

Trenchcoat

Two pieces, both Blood with Black Iridium, one dated 1995 and one 2000.

Topcoat

Two pieces, both Metallic Black: one dated 1997 with a Black Iridium lens, and one undated that came with its microfibre pouch.

Ten

Two pieces: one in Brown Smoke listed as 2000s, and one with no colour or year recorded.

Sub Zero

Two pieces, both in Steel with Prizm lenses, one blue and one dark blue. Neither listing carried a year.

Juliet and X-Metal

Oakley introduced the Juliet in February 1999, in its X Metal family1. One piece: a 2004 Juliet Ducati, first generation, X-Metal Carbon frame with Black Iridium lenses and the Ducati script etched into the left lens. It came new in box with papers and coin, and with the medium X-Metal vault case stamped with an X instead of the usual O. Red earsocks and icon accents, flex couplers and interchangeable nosebombs, as on every Juliet.

Water Jacket and Pro Racing Jacket

Oakley introduced the Water Jacket in July 2000, based on its Racing Jacket of January 1998 and worn on an H2O strap1. One Water Jacket: a 2000 frame in metallic New Blue with vented orbitals and a vented VR28 lens, a rose copper tint. It is worn on the original black H2O strap instead of earstems, with the silver icon on each side, and shares its silhouette with the Racing Jacket. We have also had one Pro Racing Jacket, in Pearl with a VR50 to Brown transition lens and its case.

Half Jacket and Half Pint

Oakley dates the Half Jacket to March 20022. One of each, both 2002. The Half Jacket was Black with three lenses, Black Iridium, Fire Iridium and G30 Iridium, with its case, size 60–20. The Half Pint, Black with Fire Iridium, is the smaller-faced version, with earstems close to the Half Jacket's but smaller.
